Acer Introduces New Core-i7 Aspire Desktop Replacement Notebook

The new 18.4" Acer Aspire AS8940G-6865 laptop will feature a Core-i7 CPU and should be a great entertainment laptop available to consumers who don't want to break the bank.

The new Aspire features a large 18.4 display with a widescreen, LED backlit, full 1080p 1920x1080 resolution. Powering the laptop is the Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz quad-core CPU, and running the graphics is the 1GB NVidia GeForce GTS 250M. There will also be a 500GB HDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and a Blu-ray combo drive.

Other features include Dolby Home Theater with 5 speakers, HDMI, touch buttons for media control, 802.11n and 5 USB ports to go along with 1 eSATA port. The laptop should be available in time for the holidays for $1,350.
