The lastest SSD from Corsair is their new Extreme Series X256, offering fast speeds and high capacity.
Corsair is a company well known for its SSD options, having already produced the X32, X64, and X128 SSDs in the Extreme Series alone. This 2.5" SSD will feature Indilinx's Barefoot controller and Samsung's MLC NAND flash memory to achieve read speeds of 240MB/s and write speeds of 170MB/s. The drive is expected to support Windows 7's TRIM command, which helps keep SSDs running in tip top shape even when they are getting full, and also makes more efficient use of memory. Speaking of which, there will be 64MB of cache memory in the X256.Price is currently in the range of $695 for this spacious SSD. Page:1/1
