Surprisingly, this 15.4-inch laptop is not entirely black! Nice...
Dell has quietly introduced a new 15.4-inch Vostro 2510 Notebook PC for business users and it's now available for order to U.S. and Canadian buyers. Although these is no official confirmation, the Vostro 2510 would probably replace the exisitng Vostro 1510 eventually considering the specs are pretty similar except for a major design change and graphics sub-system.
The new Vostro 2510 comes with a two-tone black and red chassis (the lid is entirely red with glossy finish). The previous 1510 was more conservative as it came in an all-black design. We'll wait and see how SMB users take this. Moreover, the Vostro 2510 sports NVIDIA's 256MB GeForce 8400M GS by default in its stock config. This model won't feature integrated GMA X3100 graphics. Is that a bad thing?
Specs wise, the 2510 is well loaded with latest Core 2 Duo processors, PM965 chipset, up to 4GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, 15.4" WXGA+ or UltraSharp WUXGA LCD and slot-loading DVD RW or Blu-ray burner drive. Other optional features include Wireless-N, TPM 2.1; Biometric fingerprint reader and 1.3MP WebCam w/ digital microphone.
Pricing & Availability:
Dell's Vostro 2510 is now available starting at $899.
