Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPU Now Shipping?

Intel\'s next generation mobile processor for laptops are scheduled to ship to manufacturers.
Last week, a Chinese website reported that Intel's next generation mobile Core 2 Duo dual-core processor may debut on July 23rd, a few weeks earlier than orginally expected.
According to Intel's recent Financial Report, they are now shipping the "Merom" Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor this week to manufacturers.
Core 2 Duo is expected to replace Core Duo "Yonah" in the MacBook Pro. MacRumors is saying Apple could use the 2.0, 2.16 or 2.33GHz CPUs on the MacBook Pro line next month.
"Merom" will come with 4MB of L2 Cache compared to 2MB in the Core Duo "Yonah". For more details on Merom, see our reports here and here.
