Sony Nav-U GPS navigation products get update with widescreen and Bluetooth.
Sony will release widescreen models of their Nav-U GPS navigation devices.
The NV-U80 and NV-U81T promises better accuracy for speed and location. The GPS devices will be driven by Position Plus technology, which consist of a series of backup sensors that provide the Nav-U's onboard computer with additional positioning data when the GPS signals are low (under freeways, in a tunnel, between buildings).
The 4.3-inch widescreen touch display has gesture control - for example you can swipe your finger over the screen and can perform commands like "find the nearest gas station" for example. The device now has Bluetooth integrated for hands-free calling (sync with your mobile phone). The NV-U80 will have 512MB of storage and the NV-U81T will have 4GB hard drive and a traffic message channel subscription.

Ships in November with no pricing at this time.
