MacBook and MacBook Pros can connect to wireless broadband from Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless networks.

Apple released software updates to support WWAN from Cingular, Verizon and Sprint.

The software updates support for Novatel Express Card and USB modem drivers and will enable compatibility with Intel-based MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks.

WWAN or wireless wide area network offers broadband-like speeds using cellular coverage.
