Acer to Team with BMW on New Laptop Design

Hope Ferrari isn\'t the jealous type...
The new Aspire line of laptops, named "Gemstone", from Acer will be designed with some help from BMW.
Due to release in June, this partnership somewhat resembles the one forged between Ferrari and Acer to produce the 1000, 4000, and 5000 model; but unlike the Ferrari deal, these BMW designed laptops will be targeted towards the average user, rather than the upper end of the spectrum as the Ferraris were. Customers will be able to choose Intel or AMD processors, optional HD DVD players, and 17" LCDs. Should they choose Intel, customers will get Santa Rosa technology.
I don't know if I'm the only one, but these automotive laptop deals are starting to get a little stale. First there was the Ferrari, then Asus and Lamborghini, now BMW. What's next? Kia?
The more I think about it, it would be kind of funny if there was a Honda model, with Type R stickers, ground effects, and fake carbon fiber lid, all topped off with a massive wing.
Hey, it could happen.
