This time around both the G1 & G2 notebooks will feature nVidia graphics powered by GeForce 8600M.

The second generation G series of notebooks from ASUS have been named the G1S and G2S - the 'S' in the model name representing 'Santa Rosa' which is the codename given for Intel's latest mobile platform. Both the notebook are powered by second generation Core 2 Duo T7500 processors featuring 2.2Ghz clock speed, 4MB L2 cache and 800MHz FSB. The graphics are handled by DirectX 10 capable Nvidia GeForce 8600M. Both the notebooks will sport 2GB of DDR2 667MHz, DVD Super Multi drive and 8-cell Li-ion batteries. Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium comes preloaded on both gaming notebooks from ASUS.
