Next MacBook Vies for World's Thinnest Laptop

At a planned 0.6 inches thin, it\'s close.

Apple has been known to love being skinny, with the iPod Nano and Shuffle being exemplary of that mindset.

Now they're focusing their energy on their MacBook. The ultraportable is sporting a 12 inch LCD screen, and at 0.6 inches thin, is planning to weigh in at less than three pounds.

There's always issues that arise when you make something thinner, loss of durability being one of them. With the incredibly low weight of the notebook, we're hoping the durability hit will be offset by the reduced weight on the moving parts and hinges.
