Zune 2 Battery Life Exposed

Zune 80 does 22 hours instead of the advertised 30 hours.

So you're wondering how long the new Zune 2 battery life is in comparison to the 1st generation and perhaps even the iPod.

CNET Labs posted their test results, the verdict:

Zune 80GB 2nd Generation audio only with WiFi turned off: 22 hours (Microsoft officially says it will last 30 hours) and 18.5 hours with WiFi turned on.

iPod 80GB Classic: 45 hours

Despite the disappointing battery life, CNET went ahead and gave an overall rating of 8.3 / 10.
