Toshiba Develops New Mobile Phone Technology

Take snapshots of the barcode with your cell phone to search for product reviews.
Toshiba developed a mobile phone technology that searches for product reviews on up to 100 web journals, blogs within 10 seconds.
Simply use the phone's built-in digital camera to take a snap shot of the bar code of the product you're considering about buying. The phone then determines whether the blog or review is positive or negative calculates if the product is getting good reviews or being smashed. Pretty cool!
The bar code information is sent wirelessly to Toshiba's server, which then assembles the data on blogs from the Internet and analyzes it, then sends it back to the cell phone with results. Products include electronic gadgets to food.
Snap a picture of the barcode to determine if this product is worth buying!
Toshiba will first test this technology at Japanesestores next month and plans to offer this service in April 2007.
