On my current HP laptop my palms rest on the sides of the mouse so I think the layout looks fine. I'm definitely curious. The specs on size and weight appear to be with the box. I'm on an HP 6100 now and it appears they've cut at least one column from their keyboard (the mininote keyboard is supposed to be 95% sized) and moved the mouse buttons to the side of the pad. This should end up as much as an inch narrower than a sheet of paper and just as long or slightly larger. If the weight is under 3 lbs I may get myself a birthday present.
