HP has recently come out with an Envy line of notebooks, an appellation which had formerly been reserved for its high end Voodoo notebook line. Specs have been found online, and even if it’s not as sexy as its Voodoo inspiration, it remains a stylish option and packs a solid punch.
The Envy 15 comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM CPU with 6MB of L2 cache. The hard drive will be a 7200RPM 320GB HDD and there will be 4GB RAM loaded standard, with the capability to be upgraded to 16GB. A 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 GPU will handle the graphics and video. Other specs include a multitouch keyboard, 3USB ports, HDMI, eSATA/USB, 802.11n, Bluetooth, 2.35kg worth of weight and Windows 7 Home Premium standard. That last fact assures us that the Envy won’t be available until at least the end of October.
There will also be an HP Envy 13 available. It is uncertain how this will affect the Voodoo Envy line.
