MacBook Gains Unibody Shell In Refresh

The low end MacBook from Apple has finally gotten a unibody refresh like it's more expensive cousins, although it's still plastic. Other features were upgraded as well.

The updated notebook will feature a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR3 RAM (upgradable to 4GB), a 250GB HDD and integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics. In addition to the plastic unibody frame, the Macbook gained the new glass multitouch keypad as well.

For connectivity, the laptop will have a Mini DisplayPort for output, 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth, 2 USB ports, and a single audio in/out port which supports both optical digital out and analog in/out. The 13" notebook will sport a glossy LED-backlit display with a 1280 x 800 resolution. It will also come with a built in battery that is rated at 7 hours.
