MSI confirms Core i7 based notebook with Windows 7

MSI has announced new notebooks based on Intel's "Calpella" platform by the end of this year. These laptops will be equipped with upcoming Intel's Mobile Core i7 processors along with Windows 7.
The new laptops will be based on Intel Core i7 7200M, Core i7 8200M and Core i7 920XM quad core processors. However, Core i5 and i3 based laptops are delayed till early 2010. These new processors will use Intel's Nehelum micro-architecture. The new platform is expected to offer significant improvement over the current generation Centrino 2 based platforms, especially in multi-tasking. The Core i7 processors will improve battery life while producing more performance per Watt.The new notebooks will come with 15.4 and 17 inch screens and Windows 7 will be the default operating system. Prices will fall between $600 and $900.
