MSI has released a new notebook for the X-Slim series, the X410, which is based on the new AMD Neo platform. The laptop is an upgraded version of the X400 and offers good performance with an ultra-thin design.
The MSI X410 is equipped with a LED backlit 14-inch display with 1,366 x 768 resolution and packs an ATI Radeon X1250 graphics chip as part of the Neo Platform. This enables the system to play HD 1080i content while the AMD PowerNow! Technology helps increase battery timings. Besides the AMD Athlon Neo based processor, the laptop contains 2GB RAM and a 320GB or 500GB Hard disk. There is a 1.3MP Webcam, optional Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, an SD card reader, HDMI port and gigabit Ethernet. However, an internal optical drive is missing which was expected due to the space and weight saving design.
The laptop comes with a 4 or 8 cell battery and weighs around 3.3 lbs (1.5 KG). Information regarding pricing and availability is not announced just yet.
