MSI has announced an upcoming European launch of the Wind U210, an AMD-friendly variant of the Intel-running Wind U200.
The MSI Wind U210 will come in two flavors, the U210-002 and the U210-010. The former will feature an Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6GHz CPU with 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD, and will also run Windows XP. That version will start at €399. The latter gives a little more breathing room for that Neo MV-40 by supplying 2GB RAM and a 250GB HDD - but then takes all that breathing room away by running Windows Vista Home Premium on it rather than XP. Although as a side benefit you will have the easy-upgrade to Windows 7 in October. This version starts at a cost of €449. Both netbooks are 12.1" and weigh 1.5kg.MSI did a similar thing when they launched the X-Slim X610, an AMD variant of the Intel X600. The exact release date is not yet known, but it is expected soon.
