After generating a lot of buzz, the Booklet 3G has finally seen the light of day at Nokia World '09. But is it a netbook or a notebook?
News first broke a little over a week ago that the 3G Booklet was coming, but we finally have some important data like pricing. The 3G Booklet is an ultralight 10.1" machine, weighing in like a featherweight at 1.25Kg (roughly 2.75lbs) and a measuring up like a supermodel at 19.9mm (roughly .78") thick. The next most attractive thing about this laptop is assuredly the battery life, which is rated at 12 hours thanks to a 16-cell user-removable battery. Other specs include an Atom Z530 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, and a resolution of 1280×720 to go along with 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, integrated 3G and hot-swappable SIM slot, Assisted-GPS, HDMI, 3xUSB, a card reader, a webcam, and an accelerometer. It may look like a netbook and compute like a netbook, but it charges like a laptop. Expected pricing is €570 ($810), although subsidies are expected. Exact availability is not yet known.
