Packard Bell Launches dot m/u Netbook, Claims It's Like A Notebook

September 18, 2009 at 10:09:04 AM, by Daniel Shain Rating: 0 out of 5

Packard Bell is advertising their 11.6" dot m/u netbook as the "first netbook with the performance of a notebook". It's a little large and expensive for a netbook, but it does pack some decent power.

The "netbook" will not come with an Intel Atom CPU, but instead will come with an unspecified Intel ULV CPU standard, which is already a big step up from netbooks. Up to 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD will be available, to go along with features like a multitouch trackpad, multicard reader and optional integrated 3G. The 11.6" laptop will weigh just over 3lbs and measures up as less than an inch thick, making portability a prime selling point.

The dot m/u will be available October 22nd and come preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. The starting price is £399. Page:1/1
