A new smartbook by Pegatron has been spotted running Ubuntu OS. The smartbook is scheduled to be released in early 2010 whereas the prototype models are getting pictured.
The smartbook was spotted at the ARM's Technical Symposium 2009 held last week. The 10-inch smartbook is going to be equipped with an ARM processor with passive cooling. The processor might be based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform. However, this is not publicly announced just yet. The company promises several connectivity options, speedy boot times and all-day long battery life. These devices will be compatible with Google Chrome OS as well and gives a combination of smartphone and netbook features. The unit is going to cost around $200 and can be expected in early 2010.
