Samsung has announced a netbook, branded N510 having NVIDIA ION chipset, to come out this month
After the revolutionary release of NVIDIA's successful ION platform, many companies are releasing nettops and netbook having the ION chipset in it. The reason is that ION platform is cheap, yet powerful enough to satisfy the customer needs. Recently Samsung also jumped into this game and we heard rumors about its netbook having ION chipset, which is now confirmed by CNET.
With ION, these small netbook almost give the output of a notebook. Look at the specifications. Specs:- Intel® Atom™ Processor N280 (512K Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
- Dsiplay size: 11.6" (WXGA, 1366×768)
- Chipset: ION
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 9400M
- RAM: 1GB
- Hard drive: 160 GB (SATA)
- 6-cell battery (Li-Ion)
- WiFi (draft-n)
- Bluetooth
- Webcam
- 3-in-1 card reader
The netbook will be out in market soon with the expected price of $850. Having these specs in a small sized netbook, the price seems okay.
