Sony Finally Releases Netbook With VAIO W Series

Sony has released a 10.1" notebook with an actual square(ish) display. Is this finally a netbook from Sony?
If the Sony VAIO P wasn't a netbook because of its $899 price tag and extremely rectangular design, what can Sony say about the VAIO W, with a cost of $499 and a standardly proportioned 10.5" x 7.1" x 1.3" frame? Looks like Sony is leaving Apple all alone in the netbook-less world. The VAIO W has a strong 1366x768 resolution for its 10.1" display, which along with the color options - berry pink, sugar white and cocoa brown - is what Sony hopes will get consumers to pony up the extra dough to buy their netbook over cheaper alternatives. Other specs are most standard, with an Atom N280, 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD. Of note, it also comes with Windows XP rather than Vista. Also of note, a rather paltry 3-cell battery promising 3 hours of life, although Sony will let you buy a 6-cell version when they come out with it in September.
