Toshiba Announces Touchscreen Notebooks Ready for Windows 7

Toshiba has announced two new touchscreen notebooks. These notebooks will be released with Windows 7 and aim to take advantage of the new potential in touchscreen capability, allowing users to tap, drag and drop, scroll, and more.
The two touchscreen notebooks will be the new Satellite M505 and Satellite U505. Both laptops will come with the "Toshiba LifeSpace" software package, which gives users a "Bulletin Board" full of features designed for touch use as well as "ReelTime," which helps users find files based on when they were opened with a visual history. The M505 (due out on October 22nd) will be a 14" offering featuring an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz CPU, integrated 4500MHD graphics, 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD. The U505 (due out November 1st) will be a 13.3" unit with similar specs.
The cost for the larger cousin is expected to be $949.99, while the smaller will sell for $1,049.99.
