Toshiba Unveils New Ultrathin T100 Series

Toshiba unveils a new T100 series and LaptopLogic has the scoop. Check out how this laptop measures up, or just browse the hi-res photos.

Toshiba is diving deeper in the laptop market with a new ultrathin laptop called the T100. This 13.3-inch machine weighs a feathery 3.5 pounds and promises 9 hours of battery life. Expect a slew of features including a multi-touch touchpad, LED display, 4GB of speedy DDR3 RAM, Bluetooth, HDMI, eSATA, hard drive impact protection, and a webcam.

The mercury-free LED comes in both the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch sizes and a number of colors. Toshiba's plan, according to Carl Pinto, VP of development, is to "[deliver] the perfect balance of performance, mobility and style and broaden our portfolio of ultra-mobile offerings, giving consumers more choice." We'll see if Toshiba can deliver on the three pillars of excellent laptop design, when we get our hands on a review model. Until then, check out these juicy photos.
