I know, I know. We all remember the days of having to change an application name three times, dip it in water, say a chant, and pat the monitor while dancing around the computer to (maybe) get an app to install in Linux. You can stop flinching now. Things have changed, and installing an application in Ubuntu is about as simple as it is on any other operating system. The thing is, thanks the human inability to ever be satisfied with one thing, we can now install applications for other operating systems, too.
