Buying Guide Keyboards and Mice

Using the built-in keyboard and trackpad on a laptop is usually fine for a few hours, but spending an entire workday with a smaller-than-normal keyboard and slightly awkward trackpad can be a strain on your elbows and shoulders.
Keyboards and mice are often sold as kits, but more exclusive variants such as backlit keyboard or weighted gaming mice are usually sold separately. If you think it’s important that your keyboard or mouse is stylishly designed then by all means buy one, but if you just need the basics there are plenty of high-quality kits that will satisfy the expectations of most users.
Top Brands
The largest and most popular brands that make keyboards and mice are Logitech and Microsoft – getting a mouse/keyboard kit from one of those two is usually a guarantee that you’ll have a comfortable, high quality mouse and keyboard.
Notebook Mice
Some mice are designed specifically for laptop users and come in a smaller – sometimes much smaller – format. While this is practical when you are on the move and fits easily into your laptop bag it’s not really necessary if you only use it when you are parked at your desk. If that’s the case it’s better to buy a larger and more ergonomically correct mouse. Don’t miss our keyboard/mouse reviews of you are in the market for a new kit.
