Continuing the trek through the technology arena...more pictures and reports, and one on ones. Ok...and booth babes as well.
CES 2008
Day 1 : Part 2

The Intel booth featured lots of blue lights, lots of lights, and lots of annoying stuff. But it still was cool.

The Casio booth was hopping - and very large.

This is one massive display - the Sharp Aquos WALL.

You got a frisbee for scanning your card. And a picture to remember it by. Guess what was worth it?

The Toshiba model models the prototype model with "no name". We like to say Model.

We have no idea what she was doing, but she looked good doing it.

Hot Rides, Hot Technology, and Hot women. Ahhhhh...CES.

Frag Dolls, celebrating yet another win on the poor unsuspecting male gamers. Sexy in that...dominating way?

Guitar Heroes, reporting for duty, Sir!
Onto more serious notes, we did see some really nice products that do deserve some photo credits. Such as the new Aquos prototype LCD displays.

No Photoshoping levels - it REALLY is that crisp, and YES, really that bright, with a 100,000:1 contrast. Amazing.

Some sweet new external Hard Drives from Toshiba (250 in the red, 320 in the black)

The X205 gaming station, with the lid CLOSED at all times. Yes, it can come in that flavor if you so choose. And that's Dave - say hi to the camera!
Or stick your tongue out, either way.

We got some hands on with the newly designed G45 - featuring the industries first HD-DVD-R drive in a laptop.
Remember that picture we had of the model modeling the prototype model with no name?? Well, we got some pictures of the prototype model with touch sensitive screen, active scrolling by tilting the unit, and some pretty sweet designs.

Moving onto the Logitech Area, we scoured for the latest Keyboard, speakers, and of course, music streaming devices.

A whole BUNCH of new stuff to oggle. And yes, we mean the equipment.

Check out the new remote for the updated Squeezebox! Labled the "Duet" - it takes the original display from the Squeezebox, and puts it on the remote instead!

Wilco is alright...Roy Orbison...we can do without. Ok, we think he's OK...but J.J Cale? More importantly, is that the display is AWESOME!

The new G Series speakers - awesome.

The New Harmony remote to control ALL your equipment. Besides the blender and mini fridge, those remain exclusive to hands-on operation.

The DiNovo Edge - MINI. Think...mini keyboard and multimedia controls. Which is exactly what this is.
We got the sweet pics, and talked the sweet talk. We'll see what we can do to get some of this equipment in our hands for on-site reviewing time. Our next stop was to the Garmin booth, where we needed to see the highly anticipated 800 series Nuvi. And the only working model...was in the locked XC90 Volvo SUV. But never fear, we got in there and got some sweet pics of the Nuvi in action!

Voice activated controls, and media integration beyond playing music - this nav is hot!
Now you see it...
Now you dont! OEM for your next Automobile (make sure to check that option, as we think it's great)
And not that we HAD to...but we could. And we will - yet another picture from the D-LINK "crew" and Steve our editor. Steve is happy. BIG smiles!

See you Tommorow - probably the same place, around the same time. Las Vegas never sleeps, but this team does, as tommorow looks to be just as filled as today was!
