If you just happen to have a firefighter jacket laying around I’d highly recommend putting it on because you are about to experience my vote for the five hottest laptops…

These laptops are in fact so sexy that when compared to Angelina Jolie, they pail in comparison because she is really gosh darn attractive. So what does make a laptop sexy then? Is it the shiny plastic exterior and slim design? Something so amazingly beautiful, that dehydration will set in from drooling? Perhaps a form factor keyboard, with great tactile feel? Well why can’t it be all of the above. So with that being said; get ready to let your eyes and heart fall in love, or at least in laptop lust. Lets do this one just like the bar scene i.e. completely off of outward appearance, here comes some superficiality and the five sexiest laptops.

MacBook Air:
MacBook Air
Apple is known its slim portable designs packed with processing power. And the MacBook Air doesn’t cease to amaze us with its manila folder-fitting compact computing prowess. The slim aluminum chassis gives the laptop a sheik physique, which will leave you saying “wow”. The laptops contrasting black keyboard and silver exterior is also an attractive design feature that will leave yours eyes wanting more, but leaving your wallet with a little less. The unit weighs in at a minute three pounds and thus its ultraportable nature will allow taking it with you wherever you go and you just might need to with the $1,799 price tag.

Acer Ferrari 4000:
Acer Ferrari
The Acer Ferrari just like the car doesn’t disappoint, however you wont be going from 0-60 in this bad boy anytime soon, well unless you’re in the mood for some racing games. From the black-checkered design, to the sleek curves and even to the yellow prancing stallion, the beautiful design characteristics of this well-known car manufacturer have impressively been embodied by the Ferrari laptop. The carbon fiber used for the case is much stronger and lighter than standard aluminum and the rubberized exterior coating imitate formula one tires, which furthers the car theme. This beaut will cost you and arm and a leg at around $1,999 but if you admire beautiful things this machines looks may outweigh paying your bills.

Asus VX3 Lamborghini
Asus VX3 Lamborghini
Laptops styled after sports cars seems to be a common theme, however this one costs about as much as a used car coming in at $3,100. This thing has all the bells and whistles; about the only thing missing is some racing stripes. This laptop is essentially like having a beautiful girl on your arm, except its yellow and has leather detailing. Furthering the automobile effect, when the laptop is powered on, the laptop plays a sound effect of a car engine revving which is sure to make every red-blooded American male swoon. The unit features a stunning glossy yellow lid with a prominent Lamborghini symbol creating a much sought after sophisticated look. The keyboard is jet black, which provides a stark contrast to the yellow lid creating an eye-catching look. If you like cars, and you like surfing the web then this is the perfect laptop for you if you can cough up the scratch.

Sony Vaio FW
Sony Vaio
With a 16.4″ widescreen and metallic detailing this laptop is quite the looker. The overall design is decisively beautiful, its sculpting is a masterpiece, it is in fact so pretty that I would feel guilty using this laptop for fear of smudging it (but that’s just the OCD side of me). So even though this laptop does not have a car theme its styling still resembles an automobile, with the car hood’esque sloping surface of the keyboard and palm rests. The black keys and surrounding silver is much like the MacBook Air and thus is easy on the eyes as well. The Vaio FW all souped up costs around $1,750 but for all the processing power and addition of the Blu-ray drive it’s definitely well worth it.

Samsung OLED laptop prototype
Samsung OLED Concept
Well this one may not be on the market just yet it’s release date is set for 2009, but it was just too impressive to pass up. The 12.1-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display is beautiful just by itself, with an amazing 1280×780 resolution. The sporty design is where it’s at; with an almost completely rectangular shape and dazzling red trim accents this one really stands out of the pack. The piano black case with what is seemingly touch-sensitive backlit keys contrasts nicely with the red trim and furthers the amazing look of this lappy. The pure slender factor of the machine is stunning by itself for how thin it is, if this laptop was throw up pink I would still be first in line to pick one up.
