Twitter was once little more than a tiny, obscure way for early adopters to send status updates to one other. But as you know, this is no longer the case. Twitter has exploded, with subscribers from all walks of life - celebrities, corporations, and the regular Joe all use twitter now as a way to send status updates but also market themselves and spread information.
With Twitter being such a phenomenon, there is a sudden premium on having a fabulous-looking Twitter account. There isn't too much you can customize about Twitter, but one thing you can change is your background.
