Short Review: Simple Does it for the Dell Inspiron 15n Laptop
When it comes to laptops, Dell has long established its name in terms of durability and reliability – especially with their newer releases. Simply put, Dell laptops can only get better. With each new release there is something to look forward to from that particular model’s predecessor. But can the same be said for the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer? To determine its worthiness in the budget laptop hall of fame, a thorough review is necessary.
Power to Process
First up, the processor. The Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer runs on an Intel-powered Celeron 585 processor – a unit in the Celeron M series of processors. Suffice to say, this does not hold a candle to the newer Core 2 Duos out there – but the value of having this laptop with this kind of processor becomes clear when made aware of two very important things. One, the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer is a budget computer that is safely tucked away at four hundred and fifty dollars or less. Two, aside from Windows Vista Basic it also comes in Linux, which is a lightweight OS that does not need much processing power to show just how fast it is. Still, this is something hard core users looking to save a few bucks might want to think about with much consideration. And with 1MB RAM, you might want to rethink your strategy in booting up several programs at the same time, too. But the 2.16 GHz speed and 667 MHz FSB seem to be fairly satisfactory in an offering such as this.
Power to Turn Heads
The Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer comes in three basic colors: Black, Red and Blue. For this, it might be suggested that despite it being in the “fun and quirky†budget Inspiron line it tries to emulate the more sophisticated styling of its posh siblings, the Studio and the XPS lines. The inside of the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer (regardless of color) is a muted black all the way from the wrist rest to the keyboard. A soft glow emits from the controls to indicate the media buttons, and the 15.g wide inch displays is, admittedly, breathtaking. Pictures are very rich and the saturation is quite spectacular.
Power to Do a Lot
Luckily for file monsters, the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer comes with 160 GB SATA hard drive – enough space for a budget computer to store all your office requirements as well as your personal files, too. With an 8x CD/DVD burner, you can burn copies of your files for backup without worries – burning speed is fast and of high quality at even 24x speed. Apart from this, the battery of the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer lasts for four hours and twenty minutes based on tests. This might be enough for you to do your work away from the wall socket. Heat is surprisingly on the low and there is very little fan noise to be heard.
Conclusion
To end, the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer is a great laptop for a great price with a few restrictions. For as long as you know the limitations (Celeron processor and 1 GB RAM), you can very well be a contented owner of the Dell Inspiron 15n laptop computer.
